Above is the real scale map of the Convention Center and Suria KLCC. (The above illustration was done with help of Google Earth and Illustrator.)
How to Get to the Convention Center
Hmm,,, one good question. In my opinion, the best way is to use the Kelana Jaya Line LRT. Driving is not a good way because the parking is expensive too. Taxi will just cut your throat. As you get down from the LRT station (The ticket counter), turn left and follow the tunnel to get to Suria KLCC as in the RED path. As you arrive at the Concourse level, you can go to the Convention Center using the Concourse level tunnel or the Ground level path outside. GREEN path is the tunnel underground while the YELLOW path is the path outside where you can see the park and the lake. I would recomment the YELLOW path because it good for sightseeing.
This would be a big problem since the place will be packed. You can just go for some expensive restaurant the Level 3 which will burn your wallet or queue at any Food Court and Fast Food Outlet. The solution? I would have my lunch at Avenue K. From the LRT Station, where you turn left to Suria KLCC, turn right instead to Avenue K. You will see a Secret Recipe and Burger King there. Walk some more to reach a Food Court. You can have lunch there.
Watching The Movie
Just go early for the ticket to avoid the queue.
Withdrawing Money for PC Fair Goods
My advice is to budget what you wanna buy. If you wanna buy a thumb drive, a speaker and RAM, budget it. Withdraw the money at Suria KLCC before going to the Convention Center. It would be a bad idea to withdraw at the Convention Center itself because it will be a very long queue there. Those queue are for those who don't budget earlier. CIMB bank and RHB Bank are at the Ground Floor and Maybank is at the Concourse Level.
Leaving the Area
At anytime where the KLCC Station is packed with queue for ticket, and you don't have a Touch and Go card or a Stored Value Card, I would suggest you walk to the next Station. Ampang Park LRT. And if your PC Fair goods are not heavy. This I learnt from Cyrus though. Talk the elevator from KLCC Station up to Avenue K. As you exit from Avenue K, turn left and walk straight until you reach the Ampang Park LRT as shown in the BLUE path. It is better than queueing for ticket and you can exercise and sightseeing.
The Whole Thing
This would be what I will do.
- Reach Suria KLCC, purchase a ticket for movie
- Go for lunch
- Withdraw money if I wanted to purchase something
- Go to Convention Center
- Go for movie
- Walk around
Something else to do
If you have spare time, you can visit the Gallery Petronas at Level 2 or go to the PETROSAINS at level 3 if your not a shopaholic.
I am still learning to use Illustrator, hope to become a great user in it.

For those who are new in graphics, what is vector and what is bitmap?
Vector is a type of file in graphics design which instruct how the image should appear. If the instruction is to create a clear border, then it will create a clear border no matter how you enlarge or zoom in.
For example, this is the middle part of the logo, the border are clear without any blur part (or we call it anti-aliasing)
Bitmap is an array of information arranged in pixels. It goes pixel by pixel. If you enlarge it or zoom it to a significant size, you will see the pixel clearly.
Like in this picture, the bitmap file version was enlarged to 600% and you can see the pixels starting to appear.
Of course you may claim vector are better here but I would say both have their pros and cons.
Vector are more suitable for logos, vector art, and the likes while bitmap are suitable for photography, effects, and the likes. Besides, vector image could be enlarge to a big size to suite display such as bill boards, posters, etc where if bitmap image are enlarge, it will be blurred and lose the detail. Bitmap on the other hand, could support gradient, toning and artistic effects, while vector can't (but it is possible to do gradient with Illustrator).
And you may change from vector to bitmap and vice-versa. From vector to bitmap, we raster it. Just open the Illustrator file in Photoshop and it will automatically raster for you. It would be rather tricky to convert from bitmap to vector. But with Illustrator CS2, you can use the Live Trace function which trace the bitmap into vector in instant.
Just some basic general knowledge in graphics from me. Thank for staying tuned here. Need to get back to the board for more Illustrator exploration.

Titiwangsa Lake View 2 by ~temporary40 on deviantART
This picture was taken from Titiwangsa Lake. A very beautiful place for botanical lovers.
Titiwangsa Lake View by ~temporary40 on deviantART
This infamous KL Tower and Petronas Twin Tower. Besides, you can see the Instana Budaya, blue roof which looks like the Sydney Opera House and The National Art Gallery, with white roof.
What I learnt from the place is that art is dynamic. Art can come in any form. And some may not look nice or graceful but it is there. If a normal person going into the art gallery, he/she may bored to death of the art there. There was nothing even special about it he/she may thought. But I hold this philosophy. Art comes in any where, any time, any place, any shape. Something might look horrible but it has its own artistic value. It is not about the piece looking nice or beautiful, it is how the artist sculpt it. It is how the artist creates it. It is how the artist form it. So will I hold on to this, Art is Everywhere.

Sometimes we should really wonder, when good things come, do we appreciate it to our best. Some just miss the chance. Some may ignore it. Like this scenery of light breakthrough the clouds, it never comes often. It is the moment that we need to appreciate. The good moment. We may ignore it but someday we will come back to think about it. Did I miss the chance? Did I lose the good moment when I can appreciate it to the fullest.

This is a piece made using 3D Studio Max after going to the RM 300.o0 course. Its costly but its already the discounted price. Original price is RM 1200.00. I think its okay. Sort of learned something from it.
This piece of model features a chess set with translucent pieces and transparent pieces. Of course Chinese chess set are easier to construct than English chess set because of the simplicity.
I used a mixture of Photoshop and Illustrator too to start with. Creating this piece.
As it was said, Chinese Chess may take minutes to learn but a lifetime to master.

Speaking of the examination. It was a disaster. Damn hard. Luckily I manage to pass it. Just hope the result is okay.
The education fair was nothing. Just some bunch of United Kingdom Universities and colleges trying to promote for their respective institution.

Oh my, why life have to so busy. And I cannot even complete my other obligation. Just exam and assignment and sleep, and nothing else. Quite boring.
And I have yet to create my space tutorial package and come to think of it, it was since long ago that I created my last digital art on Photoshop. My last real art was the Garena Wallpaper Contest which I don't win before I went busy with the 'Malam Kebudayaan Cina'.

Still have to go through another 6 papers before I am free from examinations. How irritating.

Why? Maybe because it gives nice color but at the same time it does not destroy the picture. By destroy I mean fill the picture with eye sore colors.
1) Okay, this is me and don't laugh. See the picture. Looks dull.
2) First of all, create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer or Shift + Ctrl + N) and Apply Image (Image > Apply Image).
Use Hue and Saturation of the new layer (Image > Adjustment > Hue and Saturation) and set the value of saturation to 66%.
Set the Blending Mode to Soft Light.
3) Next, create another new layer and Apply Image.
This time Desaturate it and set the mode to Soft Light too but reduce the Opacity to 50%.
To finish up, create another new layer and Apply Image.
4) This is the final effect, see we have change from the bottom to the top. You can bring out the feature of the rock nicer.
5) This is what I done with another picture, the greenery looks greener. and the lake looks more lively.
6) Yet another picture of Cameron Highland, you can bring out the striking effect of greenery from the plants using this method.
Is that all? No, I am going to share some more tricks with Blending Modes and add some effects that looks nice on pictures. Here are some effects that I like to share with you all Photography enthusiasts who don't own a SLR like me.
7) Use the method above and duplicate the final image. The one after you Apply Image one.
Set the duplicated later to Multiply and Desaturate it (Image > Adjustment > Desaturate). Change the Opacity to 50%
In the picture above, the final image would be Layer 4 and the duplicated image would be Layer 5
8) This effect will give a gloomy effect to our picture. From the left part we have the dull picture. The center part we have the rich color and right part, gloomy effect.
9) For this effect, you will make all the color looks old, not dull but rather old.
From Step 8, set the duplicated layer to Darken and Opacity to 100%
10) This would be the same with Step 8 but this time the Opacity is 100%.
Some picture needs darken up some don't, so you need to judge by your own instinct
11) Some picture might need some lower saturation.
On top of all the layers apply an adjustment layer. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue and Saturation. Lower the saturation's value.
12) Final effect, you have this gloomy looking picture without the striking color effect.
13) The next effect are for those picture with similar 'things' from the top to the bottom.
After applying the rich color effect (Step 1 to Step 6), duplicate the final image and use Layer > Layer Masks > Reveal All.
14) On the Mask layer, apply an White to Black to White Gradient from top to bottom. Use Shift-Click to make sure you have a 90 degree slope.
15) Click on the Layer as shown on the picture above. Not the Mask, the Layer.
16) Apply Gaussian Blur (Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur). Adjust the value until you have this effect.
This technique are for those with auto focusing camera, where you cannot focus yourself.
17) If sometimes after applying the rich color effect, we get something we don't expect like this.
18) To fix, add a New Layer and fill it with any shade of green.
Set the Mode to Color
19) Create a new layer and Apply Image.
Set the applied image to Soft Light.
Turn off the Color Layer.
(Ignore the Mask Layer. The black and white thingy beside those layers are called Masks)
20) We have the fixed image at the right part.
21) After applying Step 1 to 6, we get a dark image.
22) The final Applied Image is Layer 4.
To fix, duplicate the Layer 4 for 3 copies. Set the first 2 duplicated to Screen.
Desaturate the final image and set to Linear Dodge (Add)
23) Final effect.
24) Last effect that I like to share here. I think I got this from some where. Sorry if I copied.
We are going to make some blur effect on the white area.
Yes, this final effect are only suitable for image with some revealed part of light.
25) Go to the Channel Palette and Click one Blue Channel.
Load channel as Selection
26) After you have your selection Click on RGB back.
27) Have your Marquee Tool selected and right click on the canvas and choose Layer via Copy
28) Set you new layer to Linear Dodge (Add)
Apply Gaussian Blur on it (Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur).
You may want to use whatever blur you can find instead of Gaussian Blur. Box blur, Lens Blur, anything. Radial Blur could be a good effect but you need to enlarge your layer by 110% by Transform (Ctrl + T). Radial Blur will give the 'Light Breaking Through' effect.
29) Final Effect of the Final Technique.
Now for some freebies. You can get them from another blog I would like to promote.
